Saltburn is a timeless Victorian town which was the dream of local entrepreneur Henry Pease. The history of old Saltburn is a fascinating tale of smugglers, shipwrecks and local heros. As a child we would visit Saltburn, Redcar or Marske, my father would try and scare us kids by pretending to drive very close to the edge of the parking area towards the sea. A few years ago we started visiting Saltburn again and fell in love with this wonderful timeless place. So much so, that we started casually looking at property and came across what was to become our little escape with fantastic views overlooking the famous Salturn Pier and Funicular Lift. We walked into the living room, saw the view, and bought it.
It doesn't matter what time of year you visit, the views are amazing.
